As a parent, as an Engineer working in the automotive industry and seeing the new set of people come into the system, and seeing the lack of confidence in executing a small work, involving maths and science, paved the way for us moving from Engineering career into the Teaching profession. The inherent passion to teach was always there as we were coming from the family of teachers. This made the decision easy to move into teaching.
Working in a school and seeing kids from close quarters made us realise that kids were really lacking in visual and spatial understanding, real life application of the concepts learned. To bridge this gap and remove the anxiety among kids paved the way for starting Foundation Mathematica.
Every Child is different and every child learns differently. We at Foundation Mathematica help the students to overcome the math anxiety and help students in developing the growth mindsets.
We believe in the fact that the love of learning comes from understanding the subject with an open mind rather than having a mathematical brain. The best way to do it is always to find interesting and fun methods of understanding and relating to the real-life application.
Developing the growth mindset has to be done at a young age to avoid any kind of math phobia being developed in the child. Hence, we focus a lot on the various different methods of teaching kids, tools to ensure the kids understand and it's rooted in their brain not as a formula but the concept behind it.
"In numbers lies the beauty" is what I believed in as I grew up to be a strong individual. As I saw the same numbers scared the kids and created a lot of anxiety among them about the subject. This anxiety goes a long way in the student's mind. To overcome this fear and anxiety the key was the foundation or the basics. That's where we play a key role in developing student's mathematical growth mindset. That's where it started and we want to help each and every student who comes across to overcome this fear and anxiety about mathematics. We consider mathematics not as a subject but a language which has beauty in it.
How Do We DO
The positive reinforcement comes to the student only by going back to basics. The key to success is to practice and master the basic essential skills and later moving to much difficult problems.
To be able to learn much better and faster, having fun while learning maths is the best solution. This way makes the process of learning more engaging, involving games while learning also helps you retain most of the things that you are being taught.
The more they practice basic math concepts, the stronger their logical skills will become which in turn helps in building confidence. Practicing mental maths will improve their working memory and help them proceed ahead.
We believe that every child has a potential to grow and when confidence is instilled in them in the right way and at the right age.
We encourage students to take up the challenges, fall, and again get back on their feet to be successful. This rise and fall help the students to understand how everything around us works. This also builds a growth mindset to motivate them to work harder, solve, and take up more challenging problems. As they say “ The sky's the Limit”

My son Hrushikesh (Grade 10) and Vaishnavi (Grade 7)are studyingin one of the famous school in Hyderbad. We have seen both the kids having difficulty in understanding the conceptstaught in Maths. This led to a lot of deviations in scores achieved.
This was observed when my son is at 8th grade and hence took the option of Byjus as the examples they have shown is good. With BYJU’S he showed little improvement but he was again struggling during the time of exams. When I looked closely, I understood from both the kids that they were missing the fundamentals of the subject and hence facing the issues every time. It’s been around 4 years that I am attending Mathematics and Chemistry classes from Venkat sir. I must say, the teaching skills and techniques he has, are amazing and so easy to understand that helped me a lot to learn the concepts of both the subjects.
